Delete Your Vilu Account

This page explains how to delete your account and associated data in Vilu, developed by Allergy Mate Teknoloji A.Ş.

1. Inside the app (fastest)

  1. Open Vilu.
  2. Tap the Account tab at the bottom.
  3. Open Settings.
  4. Tap Delete Account and confirm.

Deletion happens immediately.

2. By email, if you can't access the app

If you have uninstalled the app or cannot open it, send an email with the subject "Account deletion request" from the Google or Apple email address linked to your account to info@allergy-mate.com. After verifying your identity, we will delete your account within 30 days and let you know.

If you used the app without signing in (as a guest), your account is not linked to an email address, so deletion must be done inside the app. A guest account can no longer be accessed once the app is uninstalled.

3. Data that is deleted

  • Account information (email, name, sign-in provider link)
  • Your sensitivities and profile choices (allergies, diet and lifestyle profiles)
  • Your entire scan history, scan results and experience notes
  • Session and notification data

4. Data that is retained

  • Backups: Deleted data remains in automatic database backups, kept for system safety, for up to 14 days and is then removed automatically.
  • Free scan counter: A usage counter tied only to the device, containing no identity information, is kept to prevent abuse of the free scan allowance.
  • Purchase records: Subscription payments are retained by Google Play / the App Store and our payment infrastructure provider under their own policies, as required by law.

5. If you have a subscription

Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. To stop being charged, cancel it separately in Google Play (Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions) or the App Store (Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions).
